The River Cried, "Mni W'Coni!" Service and Solidarity in Standing Rock, 2016.
The River Cried, "Mni W'Coni!" is a 30-Minute film, a personal reflection answering the question, “why did you go to Standing Rock,” for the International Interfaith Conference of Relgious Leaders in NH in 2017. It is about serving in solidarity with the water protectors, in Standing Rock, ND, in the autumn and early winter of 2016, in the protest against the Dakota Access Pipeline. Full Screenings available, for educational and archival purposes, through booking events with Jehann El-Bisi. jehann37@gmail.com
Feature 2
This is my second film, developed as a reflective uncut/unedited full length interview with Lenny Foster, Diné, from Fort Defiance, Arizona. Including stills, it reflects his experience in the FBI’s 71 day seige and occupation, of Wounded Knee, South Dakota, in 1973, and his leading American Indian Movement leader, Dennis Banks to safety.
